The Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center announced the results of the annual Easter Seals “Cool Car, Cold Cash” Contest sponsored by Larry Bennett’s Audubon Chrysler Center and Old National Bank in the gym at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, 3701 Bellemeade Ave. in Evansville, at noon Thursday, August 1, 2013.
A total of 3,026 tickets were included in the drawing. (This compares to 3,000 tickets in the 2012 drawing.)
Tickets were sold from May 30 until just before the drawing. Tickets were $50 each OR 3 tickets for $100. This resulted in estimated net proceeds of $107,342, a new record for “Cool Car, Cold Cash”. (Last year’s proceeds from the event were $106,677. Including today’s results, the annual raffle has now raised a grand total of $918,671 since 2000.)
All funds raised will underwrite physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions for local children and adults with disabilities who couldn’t otherwise afford services at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center.
Prior to the drawing, attendees heard about Easter Seals’ life-changing therapy services from local Easter Seals Representatives Kamree Anderson and Craig Doninger, both of Evansville. Kamree, age 13, also drew the three lucky raffle tickets. Accountants from Kemper CPA Group supervised the drawing.
Grand prize car is a 2013 Dodge Challenger SXT donated by
