With increased traffic & generous donations, 18th annual light show raised approximately $141,470 for therapy!

Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights visitors, donors, sponsors, volunteers & supporters give the gift of independence!
Money raised by the 2011 Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights will help to fund as many as 2,947 sessions of life-changing physical, occupational and speech therapy for tri-state children and adults with disabilities at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center!

A total of 11,550 vehicles drove through the 2011 Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights, an increase of 1,452 over the previous year! Admission fees plus generous visitors' extra donations - which were also up compared to last year - resulted in estimated net proceeds of $141,470. That amount is well over the event's average annual proceeds of $131,983.

Since 1994, including this year, Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights has now raised net proceeds of approximately $2,375,697, funding more than 72,700 therapy sessions! 

This year's event totals were announced Jan. 7 at Garvin Park, as dozens of volunteers from Teamsters Local 215, IBEW Local 16, and NECA enjoyed a thank-you lunch donated by the event’s main sponsor, G.D. Ritzy’s.  The volunteers spent the rest of the day dismantling the 61 elaborate light displays and transporting them to storage for safekeeping until next year’s event.

Major sponsors of Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights 2011 were Ritzy's, IBEW Local 16, NECA, Teamsters Local 215, WEHT Local, Evansville Courier & Press, Lamar Outdoor Advertising, 104.1FM WIKY, and 93.5 The Wolf.  Nightly security was donated by Security Enforcement, a division of Comaier Services.

The 19^th annual Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights is already in the planning stages.  It will open on Thanksgiving night—Nov. 22, 2012—and will run through January 1, 2013.  Companies, organizations, churches and families interested in sponsoring a light display in next year’s show are invited to contact Easter Seals online or call Easter Seals Director of Special Events, Laura Roettger, at 812-437-2627.
