Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights 2010 event planned for Nov. 26, 2010-Jan. 2, 2011 |

Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights, the annual drive-through winter light show which brightened Evansville's Garvin Park Nov. 26, 2009-Jan. 3, 2010, hosted 11,716 vehicles. This was 446 fewer than last year, but thanks to generous event visitors who gave additional donations at the ticket booth, net proceeds are estimated to be $146,940, which is approx. $4,600 more than last year. Thanks to all our sponsors, volunteers and visitors who made the event such a success! |

Totals were announced at Brinker’s Jewelers, where a drawing was conducted to determine the winner of the Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights/Brinker’s Jewelers $2,500 Shopping Spree. The lucky winner is Liz Walker of Evansville. |

Easter Seals estimates that this year’s proceeds will help to provide as many as 4,900 sessions of physical, occupational, and speech therapies for tri-state children and adults with disabilities. Since 1994, Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights has raised just over $2 million to underwrite therapy at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center! Mark your calendar for the 2010 event, which will open on Thanksgiving (Nov. 26, 2010) and run nightly through Jan. 2, 2011. |

Special thanks to IBEW, NECA and Teamsters volunteers who set up the spectacular light displays and maintain them nightly. The effort is a huge undertaking, as the show includes over 60 elaborate scenes, many featuring multiple animated displays up to 20 feet tall. |
